Jill Harkaway | Director / Co-Teacher

Jill joined Peninsula Preschool as the Director and a Co-teacher in 2018. For over 20 years Harkaway has taught three to six year old children in Montessori schools in Illinois. She is also trained as an early childhood music specialist using music and movement to introduce music theory to young children.

Harkaway says, “I have developed an incredible respect for each child as an individual along with a belief that every child possesses a special gift waiting to bloom. The Peninsula Preschool has a warm, inviting school with a strong, supportive community of families. I love the 3 year olds delight in discovery and the 4 year olds commitment to learning. Seeing the world through their eyes keeps me connected to wonder in the world. I feel very fortunate to be part of this incredible school.”

Angela Sherman | Assistant-Teacher

Angela is a current and former parent at the Peninsula Preschool. She is invested in the community, an advocate for children, and a woman of remarkable talent. We are excited for all the strengths she brings to PPS.
